Protected by the Alps to the north and aired by the breeze coming from the Adriatic Sea to the south, our region has had a vocation for vine cultivation since the very first Roman settlers as far back as 181 BC.

The Colli Orientali del Friuli hills boast layers of marl and sandstone, called “ponca” in our language, formed during the Eocene Epoch and capable of draining the water from frequent rainfall while allowing the vines to find all the natural minerals and nutrients that make our wines truly unique. The earth and the gentle breeze work together to ensure that the health of the grapes is always perfect right up to the day we bring them into the winery.

Every parcel of our vineyards is controlled at every phase of ripening in order to guarantee that the vines and their grapes can make the most of their exposure and micro-climate. In this way, grape clusters arrive in our winery bright and healthy for processing with utmost care, to obtain wines that respect the great work of nature.

THERE WAS ONLY ONE WAY TO BRING OUR WINE TO THE WORLD: BY BOTTLING IT.

Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Wine Region

Our vineyards, spread across the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC hills, were established in 1970 to protect and promote the specific character and identity of this wine region. The Colli Orientali hills have always been recognized as one of the highest expressions of the quality of the wine of the Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, as it has been able to count on a wide variety of vines and a great wealth of different terroirs.
